Statement from Jugg Foods plc:

After nearly 38 years in business, I am sorry to announce that Jugg Foods ceased trading on 13th March 2009 and
went into voluntary liquidation.

We maintained our quality throughout by producing all our products/dishes by hand. However, the continuous
demand for cheaper food was overwhelming and not being automated, we could not compete.

With less people eating out, our turnover continued to fall while costs continued to rise

After substantial loses last year, we simply ran out of funds and decided to cut our losses rather than
damage our creditors any further.

I am proud of what we achieved over the years and the standards we set. I believe, we played a major role
in upgrading pub food while offering good food at a fair price.
